Especially when we are tired or ill, our natural appearance is sometimes scary, even if under normal circumstances we are acceptable without wearing makeup. Moreover, after the age of 25, our skin needs care and discrete makeup, according to the occasion.

* Match the colors of your makeup to the colors of your clothes and to your personality, and to the moment of the day as well.

* Take into account the color of your hair, the shape of your face, and the color of your eyes.

* Your lip liner should not be darker than the color of the lipstick.

* Don’t use colors which could make you look older than you are. For example light colors make you look younger.

* Mascara can be an essential aspect of your makeup. If you don’t apply it correctly, you’d rather don’t apply it at all because it can make you look older and ridiculous if it is not applied uniformly on your eye lashes.

* Try to use makeup based on natural ingredients, as most of the artificial cosmetics may cause skin cancer if they are used excessively.

* If you highlighted your eyes with eye liner and eye powder, it is no use to highlight your lips too. Either your eyes or your lips should be the focus center on your face.

* Your makeup colors may be chosen according to the season too. For example, in the cold seasons, it would be more appropriate to use cold colors like blue and green for your makeup, while in the summer warm colors like pink, red, or orange are recommended.

* If you apply foundation don’t forget to apply it on your neck and on the visible part of your breast too.

* If your skin is fat don’t use a cream blush, as it will make it appear fatter.

The list of tips can be never ending, as makeup is an art, after all and you must consider a lot of factors when you buy your makeup and when you sit at the dressing table, in order to apply it on your face.
